Welcome December

I can't wait to have this place looking a lot like Christmas , but I have been slow getting the Thanksgiving stuff put away. Uncle frank warned me 20 degree weather was coming so I got all the fall stuff out of my yard and put away outdoor toys , planters and hoses tonight. Even got a few outdoor Christmas stuff up.

Bob worked overtime again and I'm still not feeling well so I was worn out by what I did do. We went to bed early and Claire was so adorable she kept telling me and BoB:

Goodnight Mom Dad
Love you Mom Dad

She would not settle down it was so cute....not Mommy and Daddy or Mom and Dad Just MomDad, like one word. We really enjoyed laying in her room with her for awhile and she finally dozed off.

So after an evening like this I don't mind not having everything done, well I do miss having my calculator that Claire "lost" in the mess.

Parallel Lives

A neighbor of mine has been doing all the same stuff as us. Saturday on Michigan Avenue, day at the circus , holiday train....and we never ran into each other until the day of the holiday train, but that is because we actually chatted about the times we were going.

It was just funny because every time I would log on to facebook, I would see her post saying the same stuff we were doing.

My opinion Monday

Kids grow up tooooooo fast.

Not enough time to do it all, at least do it all well

R&R

I don't know what happened to my blog ,I can't see the picture while I'm typing, the tool bar at the top is different..... it's weird.

So picture #1: Claire's favorite at the circus, good photography on Rachel's part!
Our neighbor went to the circus too and her mother posted this on facebook: How awesome, my 4 yr old said those tigers don't belong at the circus they belong in nature with their babies....awwwwww... how sweet
My 2 yr old is like rrrraa ,, ,"Go Tigers!" she loved seeing them at the circus.

Picture #2: One of Rachel's favorite at the circus

Picture #3: Holiday train, again good photography by Rachel.....I forgot to charge my battery

Picture #4: Holiday train
I decided to not do much today other than update my blog. I really needed some rejuvenation after this past weekend. I can't believe December begins tomorrow.
Here are some other pictures from our weekend

Let the surprise's begin.....

After the holiday train ride we came back to have a surprise dinner for Bob. I can't disclose all the surprises yet,but I thought Bob overheard me talking about his surprise party on the phone as I mentioned his friend's name. So I threw together a "surprise" dinner to throw off any suspicion of the real surprise.

He will be 50 this December 22.

He did not want to plan anything with me to celebrate his 50 years so I planned everything myself.

To make sure he was here for dinner , I had to tell him there was a surprise guest coming.

Bob: "I don't like your surprises"
"Don't surprise me "
Me: thinking
UH OH!

Guess what ?? he loved it, he was very pleased and had a nice visit with his friends
It was a great way to end a great holiday weekend. We were all tired.
I told Bob he had a whole month of surprises to look forward to....I want to keep him on his toes and off the trail of the real surprise. I told him he had 50 surprises to look forward to, two down and 48 to go.......why did i tell him that, 50 surprises???? Oh wait , I can pull that off! I just hope he likes all of them.

Thanks to Mom and Papa

We got our package from Mom and Papa. The olympic t shirts! and Claire's slicker.

Perfect day to open it , the morning started with thunder, yes thunder in November! It rained and we had a few"outings" to do.

Holiday Train

picture #1:Rachel was Rocking out to some Christmas music, while we waited for Daddy to meet us.

picture #2: Rachel and Claire waiting for the Holiday train.

We rode it to O'hare and had our picture taken with Santa. It was crowded but it was a short ride. The train was all decked out with Christmas lights and garland...even the seats had Christmas themed cushions. CTA went all out. Rachel kept us entertained with some cute Christmas jokes that impressed her had and me. We were so impressed that as we got off the train she fessed up that all those jokes were posted on the train, and we hadn't see them.

Claire would not pose with Santa in the picture, but Rachel was a sport and looked awesome. We were back home in no time.
